Youtube-ing is Totally Tubular

Guess what!?! I've been youtube-ing lately. I've also been crazy busy lately. So I've neglected you blog. I'm sorry. Should I get you flowers? Lets never break up again.

So whats been going on lately?  Um.. I've been working both jobs. FUN! Went to the Dermatologist and had 2 moles removed. Cool! One of them came back as Abnormal, got it removed and now I have stitches. Not Cool! Lost 9 Pounds over the past few weeks. Yippee! I went to MAC and got lots of new makeup. AWESOME! So lots of different things going.

I need to blog more... and to make some new videos. Any suggestions?

Here are a few of my most current videos I've posted.

So ya... that's all. I'll be back soon. I promise... But video making is so fun.

Oh Martha! | Martha Stewart Home Office Discbound Notebooks Review

I had been meaning to make a funtastic video to talk about the Martha Stewart Home Office Discbound Notebooks by Avery. Honestly... If you know me... then you know that I love me some Martha Stewart. I feel like we'd be best friends... but she'd have a much prettier and more cohesively decorated house. We'd sit on our fancy window seats... what are those called anyways(?)... drinking our tea and homemade muffins (that she made because we all know she would make the most amazing stuff)... ahhh... the life...

Oh ya... back on track. So I was given a super amazing opportunity to review the Martha Stewart Discbound Notebooks over the past month and can I tell you something... ITS SOO COOL. I tend to love school supplies... but since I'm not a kid anymore I have moved on to office supplies. I once said in an interview... for a job... for an Administrative Assistant... that my favorite part of my previous jobs as an AA was office supply ordering. I will also tell you that I did not get said Admin job... but I like to think its because they knew I would order sassy and fun office supplies and not the fact that I totally bombed that question. P.S. I dont even know how to appropriately answer that question... My favorite part of being Admin was transcribing notes... or My favorite part of being an Admin was red line edits. Come on... I like to think my answer just added pizzaz!!

Oh... man... off...topic... again...  So yes where were we... Discbound Notebooks... Martha Stewart... Avery... yes... I remember now. While I love traditional notebooks, I think I love this notebook EVEN MORE. For one... I love that I can move around the front papers... you know... the important dates, random facts, etc. to the back. Normally when you get a notebook its either you keep those in the front or you tear them out. I like them. They are very useful, but I dont want to have to skim through 10 pages that I don't need on the daily (see that... that was what cool kids say, right?) just to get to my notes. I want to get there and get there fast. Another one of my favorite things is the ability to remove a sheet of paper from the notebook, and then... wait for it... put it back in. WHAT!!!! Normally, I can tear sheet of paper from my notebook and then its gone. Its the little things people.

Another cool thing... and this does not come with the purchase of a notebook... are the accessories. Personally, I have the task pads and the dividers (which are heaven considering that I dont have to open and close those darn latches that I always get my fingers caught in). I still need to get my hands on the calendar insert, my store only had through 2012 a few months ago and I keep forgetting to get in there before they are all gone again. Surely they'll still have them... its not February yet. ;)

So go on... Go get you one. I should note that I was supplied with the Martha Stewart Discbound Notebooks and accessories, but my love for all things Martha Stewart Office Supplies does not end with these. Oh no. It surely does not. I even have the Binders and accessories for that... which I purchased with my hard earned money, and yes... I do pinch my fingers in the darn latches but its worth it for Martha. And... ya know what? I'd do it again... and probably will. Cause those are cute too. ;)

Fashion Friday - Scarves Edition

Listen here folks. I love me some scarves. I don't know when or where this love started... but I will say its been a fairly recent love letter I started writing.  I'm not one to wear the regular ol' scarves, mostly because I can't figure out how to tie those suckers without looking like a total novice, so I mostly stick to the Infinity scarf.  I went and searched for some scarves that I liked and thought I'd share with you the few favorites that I found, some are are fantastically cheap while others are a bit pricey, I'm looking at you $178 Kate Spade!  I actually already own the first two... but I wanted to include them because they really are my FAVORITE scarves. I'm wearing the blue-ish one now. :)

I'm not really sure if you noticed a trend but I like bright scarves at all times of the year... light and heavy... as long as they're bright then I am happy. :)

1: Leopard Print Infinity Scarf in Leopard from Express $29.90; 2: Leopard Print Infinity Scarf in Sage Mist from Express $29.90;  3: Merona Paint Brush Print Scarf with Border in Red from Target $14.99; 4: Hand in Hand Argyle Scarf from Kate Spade $178.00; 5: Lulu Pointelle & Mix Print Infinity Scarf in Ivory Combo from Nordstroms $20.00; 6: Factory Printed Tissue Scarf in Champagne from J.Crew Factory $29.50; Garden Floral Scarf in Black/Multi from Forever 21 $8.80

Here... I told you I liked scarves!!!

What are your favorite scarves, and where did you get them? I'm on the hunt for a few more. :)

Workout Wednesday: Week 1

Most blogs have a day called Wardrobe Wednesday... not me (I have Fashion Friday... take that blogger world haha). Me... I've got Workout Wednesday. I've decided to start this because a. this is my blog and I can do what I want ;) <-- imagine that as an emoticon smiley face, b. I like talking about working out, and c. I need a place to write about it but I don't want to dedicate an entire blog about (I've already got an entire Youtube vLog dedicated to it). So henceforth Wednesdays shall be called Workout Wednesday. Lets start celebrating it. Woo to the Hoo!!!

So Workout Wednesday. Like I said a second ago... I started a YouTube vLog (subscribe... cause its cool). Its about me... working out... and its my accountability. For some reason I have this obsession with myself and I think everyone should want to know what I'm doing... all the time. Ha. Actually. Its really just about keeping myself accountable and if others want to watch then great, if not, thats cool too. I just want to feel like I'm accountable to something other than myself. So here is my latest vLog.

This week I'm focusing on eating clean. Getting in 3 weight workouts and 3 cardio sessions. I'll figure out next week later this week but for now I'm just trying to get myself back on track.  Eating properly has been easy, and working out has been easier than I thought it would be, I'm still sore as heck. My problem right now is waking up at 4am like I used to. For some reason I am struggling with it. But it's getting easier. And it will get easier the more that I do it.

Don't we all wished it worked like this? I know I do. :)

What are your tricks for getting back in shape after taking a long time off? Does it get easier, not the weight getting off part, but the getting back to that mindset?

Ok. I'll talk to you later!

Tights and Leggings... And Sass... Oh My!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine. No nonsense tights and leggings can be found at food and drug stores as well as mass retail stores.

I'm one of those gals who has multiple personalities when it comes to my wardrobe. I'm hippie chic and fancy schmancy. The one thing that combines my style is my love for leggings and tights.  This is super important during the winter... and especially the fall because right now Nashville is like my wardrobe with its multiple personalities. I swear... it just cant make up its mind... Hot or Cold.  Its crazy.

Sweater: Gap, Tank: Nordstroms, Cami: Express, Leggings C/O No nonsense, Boots: Nordstroms, Scarf: Express, Earrings: Express, Watch Charming Charlie

So I've been looking for options... cause people... I need options. I like clothes... a lot... and I was trying to find ways to wear my summer attire and make it more Fall friendly. I have denim leggings but I wanted to try something else.  I was given a super fun opportunity to try out these No nonsense leggings (and tights but we'll get to them in a sec) and I have to say for the price and the comfortablity (I think I just made up a word - I did spell check and it says its wrong) these are great!

Dress: J Crew, Belt: Express, Tights: c/o No nonsense, Pumps: BCBG, Head Band: Etsy

Now lets get to these tights. I'm always looking for ways to spruce up my basic black dress, so I look super cute and of course... work appropriate. These totally made my day. When I saw them I squealed with delight. "Woop! I'm gonna look adorable!!!" And BOY DO I!!!  The other thing... and I know you "fuller" ladies can feel me... Tights that stretch AND have a pattern can look a little stretched out where you cant make out the pattern. Not these. I was really concerned at first... but then I put them on and had no fear. I was looking great. Feeling great. And ready to go out... to work... cause I'm a grown up and I have to go to work... but at least I look sassy. ;)

Feeling Worthy when you have so many Regrets | That time I got serious about me

Surprise Surprise. Guess who's back. Oh goodness. Its been a few weeks. The olympics finished and then I wasn't staying up late, watching them. Oh and I've started to get my butt back into the gym so thats been nice. I gave myself an over-reaching goal because I wanted to make sure I actually pushed myself... and so far so good!

Onto a more serious topic... which I never do.

I wanted to talk to you all today about something thats I've been waiting to share. I've been meaning to get together with my buddy to get some pics before posting here, but life has just gotten in the way.... Like usual. So today I'm here to share with you.

When I was younger... in my late teens early 20's I was a dumb kid. I did a lot of dumb things. Hung out with a bad crowd... actually they weren't really bad, it was just me really. I was raised to be a good christian girl, and when I turned 18 I rebelled like no other. And like I said. I did stupid things, things I'm not really proud of, things that I'm thankful to have had options for and things that make me feel sad when I look back at them.  I struggled with my inner things, at the time I hadn't been diagnosed with depression so I didn't understand why I would have really high Highs and low Lows. Now looking back, and knowing what I know about myself it all makes sense.

I don't really want to talk about the things, not because I'm ashamed, but really because sometimes you just need some things to remain personal and honestly... I don't know that I can be that vulnerable on my own blog yet. Its hard to open up to people about extremely personal things like this.

What I do want to share is that for the past few years I've been working on me. On accepting myself, my past and moving forward. I know that I will forever have a constant reminder of my past that will never go away but I've chosen to forgive myself. It has not been easy, and I still have bad BAD days.... but I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Last year I decided it was time to get a new tattoo. One that meant something special to me. One that would remind me that even though I made poor choices in my life that there is still positivity in my life... and in me.  For a while I was thinking I wanted to get my tattoos on my wrist. One would say I am Worthy and the other would say I am Enough. Obviously I did not go with those 2 choices. I was still torn. Nothing was quite right. I hadn't figured it out yet. Then one day I was reading a blog. This blog in fact, read it. Its a great one.  And it spoke to me, to my heart. It really got me and the person who I had been.  And those three lines at the very end of the blog post spoke straight to me and right then and there I knew. I knew that this was what was going on my arm.

You are Beautiful. You are Valuable. You are Enough.

After spending so many years feeling like I wasn't worthy I finally had accepted that those guys in my life before who had made me feel so bad abut myself were wrong. That the guilt I had felt for so long wasn't necessary. I felt so freed. So on my birthday, I got my tattoo on my left forearm and while no one saw it. I cried a little while Ian tattooed my arm, not because it hurt (it didn't by the way) but because I knew that this was me finally accepting myself. Letting those horrible feelings finally fly away like the birds on my arm. As I write this I'm actually crying a little.  Since June 2nd I have had a lot of hard days, and a lot of good days. But I will say that when someone stops me and asks about my tattoo, they usually will tell me that its so awesome and that they love what it says. And I smile a little because its just that little reminder to myself and now to them too.  So remember just like I try to daily.

You are beautiful. You are valuable. You are enough.

xo,

Steph

OH MY GOSH! Beverly Hills 90210 makes my heart sing!

O.M.G. People. I almost peed my pants with my 90's youth screams because of how amazing this is. Ok. Thats not true. I didn't actually scream... or pee my pants. But I DID get super giddy when this Old Navy Beverly Hills 90210 commercial aired on my T.V. LAST.NIGHT.. I don't know if I'm behind the times with this commercial but it was the bestest! The BESTEST I just said!  Oh and anyone else think Jason Priestley is still a babe! He's SMOKIN!  I swear. We are going to get married and have babies. Cute little babies. Sorry hubs!

So after watching this commercial it reminded me of my youth. Oh to be young again. Anyway. Wanna see an old school photo of me and my bestie? You know it!  Here you go world. This was Junior Homecoming. My grandma Faye bought me this dress and I wore it like the fancy princess I was born to be. I had the worst hair ever. I don't know who thought this was cute. I know I was mortified when I saw it and thought it look like poop on my head. Yep. I said it. No need for you to say it. Hehe... Needless to say... I hated my hair but I had so much fun with my best friends in the world, most of whom I'm still great friends with, especially that girl (best friends for 15 years now, woot! woot!) and had a fun night with my date. Oh to be young again. :)

Junior Homecoming, cute, poofy dress, 2000, Yucaipa, YHS, Yucaipa High School
